balance shaft ?'s

Hi, tried to search for this but didn't find anything. I have an '89 Ram 50 with the Mitsubishi 2.6 four cylinder. I'm curious about the balance shaft elimination kit available for this engine. Have any of you used this? If you have, does it cause a lot of vibrations or roughness? My balance shaft bearing went and beat the shaft up a little. So I'm thinking about going this route. Anything anybody can tell would help a lot. Thanks.

Actually I put it all back together and haven't had any problems. Thanks for the reply tho, if the bearing ever goes again i'll just do the elimination.

How do I replace the balance belt?

I was replacing the water pump in my 89' Mitsubishi (2.0L) and found that the balance belt was busted. I got a new belt but can't seem to figure out how to get it on. There's not enough clearance around the crankshaft gear to get the belt on at the bottom.

You have to actually remove the crank timing pullies and slide the pully back on with the belt.

Once you remove the crank bolt, you should be able to remove the timing pulleys fairly easily.

Hope that made some sense.
