my speedometer doesnt work some one please help

i have a 1991 cutlass ciera s and the speedometer and the odometer quit woring what controlls this and what should i replace would it be real expensive to replace thank you

In researching through some of the other posts here, seems to be a consistant problem with the Speed Sensor on the Transmission.

That doesn't ALWAYS fix it, as mine is still not working and that was checked. Could also be the wiring. I've got an 89 Cutlass Ciera and the speedo hasn't worked for years.
