Bov Help

I Have A Hks Ss Bov And It Sounds Great And All But The Car Had Turbo Lag So I Put The Stock One Back On. I Heard An Mr2 With A Bov That Sounded Like A Air Horn. I Wanted To Get That Just To Ride Around With It. What Bov Is That And Were Can I Find It Or Is It Home Made.

Also Is There A Way That I Can Tune The Hks So That There Is No Lag I Am Running 16 Psi When It Is Cold But When It Warms Up Ill Be @ 15 Psi.

Thanks

Re: Bov Help

The BOV does not affect lag.
You should not be boosting at all when cold.

Re: Bov Help

ummm... how are you running more when cold than when it warms up? i'm with Jeff, don't boost when cold.

Re: Re: Bov Help

Capital letters occur at the FIRST word of a sentence. Also with proper nouns.

Re: Bov Help

What I Meant Is When It Is Cold Outside. Not When The Engine Is Cold. When The Engine Is Cold I Cant Boost At All. When Warmer Weather Comes Around I Wont Go Over 15 Until I Upgrade The I/c. When I Put The Stock Presure Release Valve Back On I Had Quicker Turbo Responce.

Re: Bov Help

Even with an upgraded intercooler, you should not boost over 15 psi with the stock turbo.

Again, the BPV/BOV does not affect "lag."
If you are experiencing lag, there is something else wrong or you are calling it the wrong thing.

Maybe your other valve is leaking?
