I have a 91 Crx Si, completely stock with 57 k original miles....Here's my problem. I have a low idle, around 400- 500, after the car warms up for a few minutes. I have recently replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter--nothing helped but it needed it. I have also played with the idle adjustment screw...It now cold idles between 1500- 1700 and will still drop down to around 500. I'm guessing its a dirty EACV or maybe something in the distributor. I've heard a lot of people who try to clean the EACV screen complain that it doesn't fix the problem, but just delays it. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

Re: 91 CRX low idle
Hmm.. I thought that was normal. Mines a 88 CRX w/ D16a6 and it idles in the 400-500 range unless I hit the AC button (AC not hooked up though) then it goes to 1000-1200 range.

Re: 91 CRX low idle
You may have a vacuum leak somewhere. Double check all the hoses running in and out of your intake manifold for holes.
