Black and whites (and a couple colors)

I took this earlier today (well, most of them) and would like some feedback on them. Any and all is welcome, just be polite.

This is the steeple of a church by my home.

This is a side entrance to a loft of a barn in my backyard. I liked the view from the bottom of the woodpile and thought it would make a good picture.

just a random barn on the side of teh road.

A place by my house. would have liked to have gotten closer, but the people were home.

A mailbox outside the front of my house.

I liked the placement of the key in the keyhole so figured I'd take a picture of it.

more full view of the barn from above.

Random picture of teh door to my bedroom.

I like this picture. It's of the water fountain outside my dorm room.

And last not least, what I've been up to recently (nose in books).

Re: Black and whites (and a couple colors)

Very nice. I especially like the one with the woodpile & barn, the mailbox one, and the water fountain one, even though it's slightly out of focus in parts. Very nice overall

Wow, for some reason, I really like the barn one. The first picture looks depressing to me. Oh, the water fountain one is really cool too, Good job.

Re: Re: Black and whites (and a couple colors)

Actually around 1879 or so. The previous owners updated some of the interior things such as wiring and plumbing and other things.

Re: Black and whites (and a couple colors)

i really like the water fountain. what lense are you using? the DOF is a little narrow, which works for that shot but I think the focus is a tad off... i would try to focus on the mid air water. the big gobs. unless you ment to get the impacting water as it landed. that's cool though. nice shot.
