another torque converter question

Just incase i have to buy a new torque converter, what is the stall and how does it effect the performance.

you wouldnt want to put one on your truck. A torque converter with a high RPM stall holds your vehicle in place until it reaches its maximum torque level then your vehicle takes off.You really wouldnt want one unless you drag race your truck.
