Re: gibson super truck

had one on my 2k ecsb w/5.3, sounded great at idle and light throttle, pretty load, but didn't sound good at wide open.

Re: gibson super truck

I have one my self along with the headers and i love it... Its not the type of exhaust system you want if you're looking for a loud exhaust!!! It has a nice idle with a slight rumble to it, its pretty deep around 1000-2000rpm, then it lightens up a bit. Once you pass 3000 rpm it sounds nice though cause its not loud so that everyone can hear you but you can hear the rumble in an almost unexplainable way. How do you explain that its quite but it rumbles without saying just that

Re: gibson super truck

yea, my gibson system is something like that. at idle it soulds almost stock but just with a deeper tone. The best sound is around 2k rpm. But when i do get on it and im around the 4-5k rpm range its can get loud as hell. put it this way, i have set off some car alarms at 2500 rpm, but its not like a loud roar, more like a smoothe rumble. Its relitivley quiet in the cab but im sure it sounds even better outside.

blackerado... how do you like the headers? did you gain any power, sound... anything like that?

Re: gibson super truck

i love the whole system... unfortanatley i cant pin point what it did cause they both got installed the same time But none the less the sound is great and the feeling is great... I do know this has been said though, most headers that are shorties are said to gain very mild hp and trq over stock manifolds if not any at all. If that statement is correct then i would have to say they make one BAD ASS cat back exhaust system. Unless its the combo of them both which i believe it is
