Running rough

ok my maro has a rough idle and sometimes it stalls out, over speed bumps and shit. could this be the fuel filter? i ran for codes and nothing shows up, just 12? and thats normal? where is the fuel filter in my 1991 camaro rs v6, is it in the tank itself? thx

Re: Running rough

fuel filter can sometimes cure a wide range of problems..
its not in your tank.. its under the car near the rear end.. just follow the fuel line

Re: Running rough

ok thx for all those reply's
but pls i need some imput on this one!
i put some injector cleaner in: nothing changed
i put some fuel treatment that cleans the fuel pump valves and cylinder, but it started acting a little better, like i'd get this really weird vibration when it goes into overdrive and i'd accelerate slowly so it stays in OD.
but now its like it vibrates only when it wants to, its like i keep the gas pedel a little down and it accelerates fast then it slows down, its really hard to explain! can anyone tell me what u think it is/

Re: Running rough

You could start doing tests on it. Like accelerating, or cruising, or deccelerating and seeing when it does it, that may help lead you to tracking down your problem. You can be pretty sure that it is either a problem with fuel or spark/timing. But you may want to check intake stuff too. It's hard to say, maybe once you find out more and post some more info someone on the forum can be of some help...
