Catalytic Converter removal

How would I go about removing my catalytic converter? Just a simple question on a how-to.

Re: Catalytic Converter removal

sawz-all and cut it out... get a O2 simulator and connect it into your 2nd O2 sensor. Replace gap with new piping. just like that.

Re: Catalytic Converter removal

depends on your skill with a welder and if the pipe is already tapered out that your putting on. Pros..makes for better air flow. Cons.. if your state has inspections your not going to pass and its bad for the environment.

looks like you have a 2k cavalier (checked profile) give this a shot.

http://rksport.com/product/p_02094035/view_detail

pretty sure that's it

it'll run you about... $65.95. US plus shipping and then your install. doing it yourself is free of course.

Re: Catalytic Converter removal

why would u want to remove cat? if your looking for performance just buy a Catco and replace the stock one. cause like most states you need a cat to pass inspection.

Re: Catalytic Converter removal

Jayson's right. most places do need you to pass emissions. I currently live in a place where I don't need to but after I move to Southern Cal I'll have to.

Just in case you're still hell bent....

http://www.highrevmotorsports.com/ca...roducts_id=122

$55.00 US plus the usual shipping and install (DIY is still free last I checked)
