Investment tip: Continental

Easily my top pick of all the auto stocks in Europe, making my life very easy at work.

http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=CONG.F

It could come off a little more in the next few days, but i dont see it dropping below €57. BUY

Thanks for posting that Jay. Do you see this as a good long-term company? It appears to be, but by long-term I mean at least 25 years probably.

I'm gonna show this to my dad, maybe he'd be interested in the foreign market.

Re: Investment tip: Continental

25 years? I don't know. There's certainly nothing wrong with it, but no one knows what the scenario will be in 25 years.

In the next 3 or 4 years, this company will experience phenomenal profit growth as it continues to sell its ESP system to major manufacturers. Penetration in the US is not much above 10% vs 40% in Europe, and is more justifiable given the greater percentage of trucks & SUV's as a % of total vehicles in the US vs Europe. I would be very surprised if Conti didn't make its investors a lot of money

haha, yea thats a long time. Of course you're not going to know. I really should just bite the bullet maybe and take a chance. It would add diversity to my small portfolio, plus it would be a little adventure diving into the foreign market.

Re: Investment tip: Continental

Dam, nice gain. Is this Continental Tire, or the parent company thereof?

Re: Investment tip: Continental

You can get around that by leveraging, but i wouldn't recommend it unless you really know what you're doing.

It closed near the high of the day. Still has some way to go next week
