Twin Turbo question

I read one post saying that it wouldn't be worth putting a twin turbo on a GS-T Eclipse. What should I do if I have a 98 GS? I'm wanting to put at least one turbo, and I was thinking about twin tubros, but if its not going to help any, ill just go one big one. Thanks in advance.

its pretty pointless to twin turbo a 4 cylinder.

half of the reason is because it's cheaper and faster to do a single turbo on an already single car. the other half is because the design is inefficient and our engines aren't big enough to support 2 turbos. Both reasons apply.. no, it wont be any better or cheaper.

Even if you were to use two t-25's, the 2 liter displacement would have a hard time spooling them both. Thus, insane turbo lag.

If you're not changing your 420A internals then I would just go with a kit using a 14B, change your fuel pump, injectors, 3 inch exhaust, get your ECU programed, better flowing intake and better cooling fans with a cooler thermostat. Good intercooler & synthetic fluids for heat reduction and less friction & etc. Don't have to go crazy but we all know the more air we push into our motor the more fuel we need and a bigger exhaust for the motor to breath. If you have enough money to spend then go with a *dual ball-bearing turbo* for quicker spool thus less turbo lag. Venom has a good cheap set of injectors that produce 10% more fuel than stock if you're not going all out.

I was wondering that you people say its pointless for a twin turbo on a 2.0 liter, so wouldn it be pointless on a rx-7 that has a 1.3 twin turbo???
So I dont get that??????

you can't compare the displacement of rotaries to the displacement of piston engines. remember that in a rotary that displacement is making power all the time and in a piston engine its only making power at most half of the time.
