I need some help...
I have a 1999 GC, 6 cylinder, 4x4.
My problem is that when the car is cold and i try to start it....it wants to start but it does not. It starts the second time after some hesitation...what could be the problem?? A mech said it was the fuel pump and it was gonna cost $250 plus off course labor.....Does it sound like the fuel pump?? I just wanna make sure i don't pay that much money and thats not the problem.....any ideas?? If it is the problem...where can i get a cheap one??? Any jeep cherokee sites i should know about.... |

Re: I need some help...
try this, Turn the key to the ON Position and wait 5 seconds then shut off and try to start the jeep, Does it start?
If it does start, then the Fuel Pump is the likely cause, more specific the Fuel Pressure Regulator but on your model I believe the Pump and regulator is sold as a unit. |
