2004 Suburban front differential bearing
I have a 2004 Burb, and I heard a low howling noise coming from front end. Since it was under warranty I took it in, and the bearing in the front differential went. The dealer said it trashed and needed a whole new front dif.
Is this common for these to go? or was it a fluke? It only has 8,000 miles on it, and it gets babied.(driven by the wife) Thanks! |

Re: 2004 Suburban front differential bearing
i'd say it was a fluke. i've seen a couple front diffs croak but it doesn't happen too often. you're just lucky it happened now and not after warranty.
