Hey folks-
I'm hoping you guys can recommend a strong, serviceable brushguard for a '00 XTerra SE 4x4. I would prefer something that gives some protection to the headlights if possible, and would be on the simpler side of installation. Thanks- Best, GW |

Your best bet is not to get one at all. They do more harm that good. For what you pay for a brush guard, you can spend a little bit more and get something that actually protects. An ARB Bull Bar is your best bet, like this..

Re: Advice requested on brush guards
Brush grills are crap. I had a lady back into me and her new VW bug had a vertical (2" x 8") gouge in the bumper from my brush grill. My damage was a new R fender, new hood, new R front turn signal, ect, ect, ect.......
My second mistake was not applying the money I got for my bent guard, towards a stout winch bumper. Instead I let the body shop put on a Manik brush guard. Pure junk! No I'm buying the winch bumper and I'm stuck with the Manik. |

Thanks for the input guys, I'll look around for a bull bar instead.

Also search for "bull bar", "arb", "tjm", "shrockworks", "calmini bumper", etc. here and on the web. You'll get lots of hits. |
