92-95 4.3 vortec vacuum line placement--runs then hesitates at throttle up-
I have a 94 4.3 vortec, I installed it in a different truck. All vacuum lines were removed so I am running blind hooking them up. There are 2 locations for vacuum lines-- one at front , under and slightly back from throttle flapper, I am guessing is from purge canister? And one on passenger rear of engine which has vacuum in it. I need to know the route it takes from the rear vacuum source in relation to the complete purge canister hook up, tranny control (i have non-comp th350) and "bubble" vacuum ball. My purge canister has 3 connections on it, 1 to tank, one large vac style hookup, and just above that ,1 small vac hook up i think is the vac trigger.
Hayes book says poor idle, stalling, poor driveability c an result because of improper vac line place ment, but they dont tell me what correct is! The truck will start, idle, sometimes its a little slow idle, but when i try to rev it, about half way through it cuts out and i hear a "sucking" noise until I release the throttle and it goes to idle again, fuel pump brand new in-line, just changed fuel filter. truck also will just quit unexpectantly and not start until its cooled 20+ min or so.-- Vapor lock due to messed up vac lines/purge maybe? I also thought maybe new filter clogging -tank sitting for several years with a little gas in it--i did add new gas and run it out pump before I connected it to engine. Any help would be appreciated--If anyone can e-mail or send vac hose placememnt picture or i-net link were one is for this 94 4.3 vortec --greatly appreciated! Thanks Joe
