Quarter Panel Rust

Im sure all of you know about this problem and i wanna see some suggestions on what you did and how much it cost as well as how effective was it. I wont be driving it in the winter so there wont be anymore snow... bondo always seems too cheap and short of welding in a new piece of custom made panels, i dont know what else to do. If any of you have bought new panels that you got cheap somewhere, let me know cuz i havent been able to find any. Any suggestions on this would help, thanks a lot

Agreed bondo is a cheap way. Minimal bondo use is best. Welding some new tin in would be the best way. Im sorry that I cant help you with a price because I did it myself. (About $10 in materials). How bad is it rusted? post some pics or send some to my email. My lip inside the rear fenders was rusted out from the rubber trim that collects salt and dirt. I cut myself some tin and welded it in all the way around. Looks like new

Re: Quarter Panel Rust

well i have no experience with welding and/or forming metal to match whats already there so it prolly wouldnt turn out right, its not horribly bad, i lost all my pics i had on my last computer crash, but its the most common spot on the rear quarter and its maybe 3/4" wide by about 3 inches long, just about rusted through in one spot, plus little areas here and there starting to bubble, its not as bad as im describing but if i woulda drove it this winter it woulda been horrible (btw this is the same as flava888, on different name)
