Question 1986 cutlass wont start

my 86 cutlass wont start, has no power, and when i try to connect the battery i get a spark. i have replaced the battery and starter. when i got the car it had no radio and it still has no radio (it got stolen). i dont know what to do ??????

Which motor? Is it the original motor and fueling system?
Have you checked for diagnostic codes?

if you get the battery in and connected and you still dont have power Ill say check all your ground wires and points to make sure there isnt any frayed wires or loose connections because the same situation happened to me with a 91 toyota celica after I uninstalled a stereo system and I tore into every thing for a couple of days trying to trace the problem turns out I nocked a ground wire connection loose under the hood that bolts to the motor all the frustration over a simple rinky-dink wire!!!!! if that dont work let me know there is a few other problems I am familiar with that will cause that same thing
