Question 94 metro

have a 94 geo metro 1.0 3 cyl it sounds and rpms like a lawnmower is this normal

Any car with an un-even amount of cylinders will have the lawnmower sound. And witha 1.0, yes, you need to rev the sh@# out of it to get any kind of power. That's how small engines operate. Perhaps your exhaust system needs some work too.

i had a 5 cyl turbo audi once and it didnt sound funny but that is 5 not 3 but any way i was jus wonderin cuz i did head work and a few other things to and never realy heard one or drove one[IMG][/IMG]

But ur 5cyl didn't have a garden hose for an exhaust pipe, and a muffler fit for a scooter either . If the metro is fitted with a nice glasspack right after the cat, and a decent muffler in the back, they're really quiet. And maybe a 1 3/4" exhaust too.
