Busted front-right turn signal

Hi!

My wife has a 2000 Camaro convertible with a busted FR turn signal. I have tried to replace the bulb myself but gave up when I realized that I probably wont be able to do it without unscrewing quite a bit of stuff. Are there any tricks to doing this? Any tips/help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Atle

Re: Busted front-right turn signal

what were you removing?. You just reach up there rotate the bulb housing and pull it out. Then you push in and rotate the bulb to remove it. I hope your not unbolting the trim inside there, cause there is no need for that.

I haven't removed anything yet, but I have made several attempts at reaching in there with no luck. By "reach up", do you mean I should try to go from underneath? I checked out that option too, but there's a plastic shield in the way.

yes, go at it from under the car. This is from a 95 but the location and details to remove it are the same

You just reach around the shield.

Re: Busted front-right turn signal

damn do you have a rs? every damn bulb except the headlights you gotta remove the plastic cover off the bottom of the front kit, just take the time and do it yourself, they tried to tell me it was 130bucks for them to change my fog light because of all that they have to do to get back there. after you do it once its a breeze, dont pay anyone to do it, nobody likes to work on our cars so they rape you with the labor....

Re: Busted front-right turn signal

Whoohoo! Finally got it! I tried driving the car up on a curb so I could get underneath it, but there was NO way I was getting to anything from underneath. Plastic cover galore.

Luckily I have long skinny arms, so I was able to get in there and do it from the top. The bulb housing was a pain to twist, it's probably never been touched.
