Okay.. I'm driving home from work today it's raining not much though..i'm behind a semi..kicking a huge wave of water in my face so I just sit back away from him until the passing lanes then I downshift to go around him and BAM car lurches forward violently and back fires..keeps doing that when I give it gas..so I coast over the side and try to start it..cranks but nothing..alittle back fire from exaust sometimes. I'm so fucking pissed off.

The 1st thing I'm thinking is Hydro Lock..FUCK. But could that be possible from that little bit of water??? i've riden in WAY worse rain before..I'm also thinking maybe the dizzy rotor came loose or some shit but I wont'; know for like afew fuckign hours cause i'm sitting here waiting for my dad to come bring me out to my crx..which is sitting on the side of the fucking road right now..anybody could mess with it Please someone tell me they know wtf happened here...

PS checked the ecu when it died and i got a code 16 Fuel injector..whta the hell is going on plz someone help.

I Would Say Your Coil, But I Guess If Your Getting A Fuil Injector Code That Is Maybe That. Make Sure It's Not Unpluged.

uh..I hate to be a dick but if you knew about these cars you'de know that a loose rotor can throw all kinda of codes to you're ecu. And guess what I got out there with my tools and it WAS a loose dizzy rotor! Thank god..! I knew it wasn't enough water to hydro lock it.

Everyone else please ignore my freak out..mods you can lock this.

So why did you bother posting if you're going to be a dick and fix your own problem? Checking the dizzy first when you're getting an injector code shows how lucky you are and how little you know about troubleshooting.

Just kidding - I've experienced enough fucked up dizzy's to know codes don't necessarily mean shit...this turned into a postwhore thread so I thought I'd waste more time and space.

I had a problem..I got scared it might be hydrolock THATS why I posted so I could get a response from someone with experience w/ hydrolock..not a dumb reply from some kid trying to be funny. Honestly.. will a mod please lock or delete this before it just turns into a 3 page flamefest.

Just to add before locking the thread. Water on wires can show all kinds of problems regardless of rotor being loose. Reset your ECU and continue driving...

too bad u got it fixed already, cuz i was gonna suggest the rotor, the same thing happened to me last year, driving along and all of a sudden it loses all power, starts backfiring and running like a bag of ass
i managed to keep it going 70km/h on a main road and got it to my buddys house, picked him up, started driving to school.... needless to say, it didnt make it
