hatch or sedan...?

ok, i'm about a week or two out from buying my civic i can't wait. i'm definatly going 4th gen. but should i get a hatch or sedan. i like both.
the sedans not that much heavier, so either way i end up with a really light weight car that gonna be powered by a b16a. i do auto-x tho. is one stiffer than the other?

Re: hatch or sedan...?

aftermarket parts should fit for both, as far as suspension goes. i like both, but i have a sedan so i vote sedan

Re: hatch or sedan...?

ice X im with you sedan all the way. It only weighs a little bit more and when you are driving normally its easier and more comfortable for people in the back. Depends on you needs, just AUTO X. There is a giant long ass thread on Sedan/Hatchee poll, just search....

This thread i predict will be a major flame thread and argument about sedan vs. hatch!

Re: hatch or sedan...?

Honestly the hatch looks and drives better that's my opinion so i see no need for a sedan unless your a family man. And who cares if your passengers are comfortable it's your car so think of you.

LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!

Re: hatch or sedan...?

i wonder how many people have actually driven a hatch, crx, and a sedan so then they can make a good decision based on experience lol

i honestly thing all of em drive better than domestics. For Auto X i might choose CRX since it's the lightest of the bunch. For driving around my sedan works well, don't hafta put the front seat down all the time, and it's easier to put stuff away. But i would love to have a hatch or a crx mostly a crx though cuz i've always liked those

Re: hatch or sedan...?

I like sedans. Stock looking sedan + B16 = sweet sleeper.

i gotta say, these results are a little unexpected considering how the sedan is so favored. since i've been looking i've also found that sedans are usually lower in price and in better condition too. the purchase is still 3-4 weeks off, but the sedan is looking like the winner. i'd like a red (rio red i think its called) sedan with 16" bronze wheels (weds probably, but maybe 5zigen fn01's or buddy club p2's)

Re: hatch or sedan...?

i own a crx but have driven a sedan also, personally i like the ride and look of hatch better not just because i own one but i just love that compact feel. I had second thoughts about the 2 seater but after i started driving it, i loved it.

We'll see. to be quite honest, i've had trouble finding hatches that aren't beat to hell (i like the looks of hatches more too). ohh and i was wrong, its milano red, rio red is a subaru color.

Re: hatch or sedan...?

crx it a slightly shorter wheel base better for cornering in Auto X. If it was between a hatch and a sedan I would say hatch its shorter than the sedan so it will out corner it.

Re: hatch or sedan...?

I prefer hatches. My last 4 cars have been hatches. I cram everything into the back; groceries, dogs, furniture, car parts, u name it.
