Question 94 pontaic grand am se

I have a small problem or two. I need to know how can I remove the cig. lighter? It seems that I need to replace it. I also have a gridding sound coming from my rear and front tires when ever I brake, could that be the rotors? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum,

I assume you need to remove the cig.lighter assembly, if so you will need to remove the dash board panel and remove from behind. Most have a cover that screw on to hold the assembly in place.

The noise from the wheels when braking could most definitly be from the rotors and the rear drums [if equipped], I would get the brakes taken care of A.S.A.P. if they're making noise you may have to get the rotors turned (cut) if they are scored, the sane goes for the rear rotors or drums.
