No Instrument Lights or Chime

The car is a 2001 LW-300. Recently, the instrument lights and headlight reminder chime stopped working. Everything else seems and runs ok. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

start by checking all of your fuses

I had the same problem with my 2001 L300, it turned out to be the dash light dimmer knob. Every time I turned it the fuse blew and the dash lights and Tail Lights went out.
