MIL code 12 and code 42

I have a 97 gc with a 5.2 and I am getting a code 12 which reads (direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles.) I know that the battery itself has not been disconnected.

I am also getting a code 42 which reads (ASD control circuit indicates an open or shorted circuit condition.)

The car usually runs fine but yesterday after I stopped and went to restart it, it started and then dropped out. I started it again and it ran rough but I went ahead and drove it to work and it has run fine since. Thanks for any input you can give.
