Jdm D15

I recently got a new engine in my car because my old oil-burner needed to rest in peace (or pieces). So I went to the shop and had them drop in a new D15...they told me that it was a JDM engine but it was basically the same one that was in the car before. The engine says "D15" on it but the DX engine is a D15B2..is the engine the same or is there some differences to it? I know that there is a D15 vtec but that's not my engine...

I have the same motor. Jdm d15b non-vtec. It is alittle better block then the b2 but nothing noticeable really.

If there is any real difference it might be the compression is a touch higher, and the cam might be a bit more agressive, both should give you a few more HP, but should be just as reliable as the USDM part.

if long block means block and head, then yes it is a long block, the engine came with a head on it. non-vtec.
