magnaflow exhaust

i just bought a brand new magnaflow cat bac for 300 stil in box..the piping is 2 and a 1/4 im pretty sure its supposed to add about 7 - 10 hp if i put a hi flow cat how much more hp would it make?

High flow cats are a little over rated, I personally would not waste my money on one if all you are going to do is bolt ons. 7-10hp maybe and probably not, more than likely you will see about 5-7hp from that. Do you have a header on your car? If not then that is something that you should consider soon, the catback will not be able to free up as flow if the header is still restrictive.

yeah i got dc headers on there...real rusty plain on painting them with the header paint n all that..but yeah i have headers...how is the installation on the exhasut would u say get it done or do it myslef...says direct fit but u never know..and the hangers as u know are rubber so no rust..what do u think? thanks

I would say do it yourself, it is not really that hard if the exhaust is the right one.

yea if you have the right exhaust, all you have to do is take stock one off the rubber hangers and hang the new one up and bolt it up with the screws and gaskets that should be included with the exhaust.

not bad deal.
Hondas cats flow damn well really and upgrading to a high flow doesn't do anything really.

If your cat is dead then order up a catco or random tech one smog legal and higer flow. but if your cats healthy dont bother

my exhaust came up lik 5 inches short of the cat did anyone else have this problem...the place welded another pipe on there but i fopund this odd...but exhaust sounds really nice and i did feel the difference...how is installing new struts and coilovers?
