1993 Prelude Si

Im tryin to sell my lude. its a 1993 Si. It doesnt have nething fancy done to the interior. Although the exterior has to racin strips offset to the pasengers side. They were on the car when i bought it. im not a fan of racin stips but they dont look bad. its red and the paint job is fresh (for bein a 93... is not chipped or rustin newhere or fadin) it has the stock h23 motor in it with a custom 2 1/4" cat back exhaust with a pilot muffler. i have c.a.i. on it with some engine dress up done to it. I've only had the car for about 8 months and it passed inspection when i bought it and i have. There is nothing wrong with this car at all. im only selling it b/c i wana buy a crx...again. i have always wanted this CRX from my dads friend and he is finally willing to sell it.

I live in md so if nebody is interested let me know whats good. im askin $5600 for it. I was gona post this in the classifieds but i didnt see that for preludes. and i figured that someone in here but want another one or know someone that wants one. (i am aware that you all have ludes but i figure you all could get the word out the best for me) thanks a lot.

i could be mistaken, but from what ive seen ludes sell for, especially since urs is fairly stock, i highly doubt ur gonna get 5600 out of it. maybe 3500 or 4000, but i dont know anyone who would pay much more than that for stock. sry, but thought maybe id just let ya know... just in case im wrong, go to www.kbb.com and see what the blue book value is on it, and whatever it is, if for example, it happens to say its worth 4000, then id be surprised if you actually can find someone willing to pay more than about 3700 or so for it. just something that ive learned from prior experiences, thanks

mike

*****NOTE: i forgot to mention that if your getting into crx's, id HIGHLY reccommend that you check out www.redpepperracing.com... my buddy josh (who is known as lemons on rpr) is a member on there, and all of those guys are VERY knowledgable. you could just about build your own crx from the frame up based on all thestuff they know on there. im also a member there but havent been on lately cuz i ended up gettin my prelude instead of the crx. peace

well, in that case, its like i said... if blue book says around 4700, then i definately wouldnt expect to get more than 4500 out of it. think of it as if u r goin to buy a brand new car at a dealer... if the window sticker says 10200 then you dont actually pay that much... you talk with them then they end up selling it to you for something like 9500. same wen u sell a used car... you always advertise it for a little more than you actually expect to get out of it because its just common knowledge. my prelude has a nearly mint exterior cept a tiny spot of rust by my gas tank door, and the blue book says taht even with engine status as being "repair/replace" its worth 1600. its a 91. now, ive even just tried to advertise it as that and ive been laughed at many times. im sorta even thought to be nuts for tryin to get 800 out of it cuz of the motor having a rod knocking. at any rate, thats all i got to say, and i do wish ya luck on sellin it... hope you make a decent sale on her tho.
