Zc Header
Ive heard ZC stock header flows just as good as aftermarket one just alot heavier. is it worth it to go with aftermarket 1? stocks all rusty color lookin and heavy as F$#@. but if its going to flow same will just paint it.i know i will have to port match a little if i go aftermarket. any suggestions?

Re: Zc Header
first get a wire brush and then scrape most of the rust off it. Then go back with sandpaper and sand it down real good. Then spray water on it to clean it up, or blow it off. I myseld would first prime it, and then spray paint it with high temp paint. Since you want it flat black, i know at home depot or lowes, they have oven/bbq pit paint. Its either flat black, almond, white, or gray. Well anyways its heat resistant to like 1500*F i believe. I think that would be your best bet!

Re: Zc Header
I repainted mine. It was high temp aluminum from duplicolor 1200 degree paint on a DC header. It cracked and flaked a little around the bends of the primaries but other than that it held up. You should bake it if you can so it will cure properly. I just started my car for a few minutes and shut it off for a few minutes. I repeated this process a few times since I couldn't bake the piece. The oven/bbq pit paint sounds like a good idea though.
Here's a pic of mine:
