New Lude

I am purchasing a 92 lude with a F22a1 in it. I have a 3rd gen prelude and know little about 4th gen. I am wondering what mods are available for this motor. I will consider a motor swap but am looking for practical not expensive. I have money to spend but would like to keep it reasonable. I dont need the fastest car in town but would like to make people respect honda. I live in the midwest and most people pride thier domestics and give us imports crap.

Thanks man. I am not sure what model it is yet. My only concern is that its a 5 speed 4th gen. I can work my mods in from that. I would like a 5th gen but its not in my budget. My daughter will be driving next year and she will be getting my 3rd gen. So I am getting a head start on a new (newer) car. I can get JDM H22's at a decent price from a place in NY. I have ordered a few motors from him so he gives me a good deal. If i cant come up with practicle mods i will be forced to H22 this lude. When its parked over next winter I will git er dun.

Crap! I was bidding on that 92 lude on ebay and lost by $25.00. I bidded $350 in the closing minute and lost. Oh well. I emailed the seller and offered to buy it if the winning bidder falls through. We will see what happens. i think the winning bidder will be a dead beat. Lives 2000 miles away with little feedback. I see it happen all the time

Re: New Lude

From what I've gathered while looking for parts for my 4th gen, most parts that aren't directly involved with the engine will fit on any 4th gen. So any exhaust will work, you should be able to find headers, the cam gears might work too, things like that. However if you're gonna drop close to $500 on an exhaust and $250 on headers that don't do much, you're only gonna gain a few hp, from $750. You might as well just save for the engine swap, you'll spend twice as much, but get a much bigger performance increase. My advise, don't waste any money on the motor, save for a swap, or maybe even work the suspension set up, depending on what you're going for.
