Waiters/Waitress' - Thieven a$$ bi*#@es

Well I've learned a valuabe lesson yesterday after getting of the phone with my mom. She called and told me that on several occassions people had rewritten the tips that I left for them via credit card. This takes the cake now. I honestly believe that there is hardly anyone in this world to be trusted now. Maybe these waiters/waitresses, would get a clue and realize that tips tend to reflect their waiting skills and personality. How fast and often they check to make sure everything at our table i going well. You better believe if you ask if I want change that the tip your getting is a BIG FAT NOTHING!

So if your a waiter/waitress and you've done this to people go fuck yourself. Have a nice day.

I left a 10 cent tip at Famous Daves, and they're lucky they got that much from me.

Re: Waiters/Waitress' - Thieven a$$ bi*#@es

10 cents... that's worse than leaving no tip

I walked out of a restaurant once without tipping, or paying anything at all for that matter. The service was shit and the food was completely mediocre. I was having a quick lunch with my gf and needed to get back to office. I asked for the bill not once, or twice, but three times. I waited for about ten minutes, it didnt come, so i just picked myself up, got my coat, and walked out. If they don't want to bring my bill, i won't fucking pay

I don't know, maybe its me, but I never leave a tip in the reciept or credit card bill. I always zero out the tip for their tax purposes. I give them the cash instead on the table or in their hands.

Yea you gotta really be carefull about that crap. I'm always wicked paranoid about that when I pay with a credit card. Usually all I do is just make it virtually impossible for them to change it. Put a dollar sign in so theres no room, put a decimal point, and a line after the last number. Works good. Peace-

lets say the bill was $13.27. You give them a $20, and they say "you want your change?"

They have to say if you want your change back. Tips aren't apart of the bill nor are they mandatory. They are given out as an appreciation for their services. The person was just doing their job. Next time try saing "keep the change"

I agree. I deliver pizza. If someone's bill is like 23.83 and they hand me 2 twenties. Pretty sure if i just walked away i would be gettin yelled at. It is part of their job to ask if you would like change. So i dont see why you would not give them a tip for doing their job. Isnt that the reason you DO tip?

not exactly. tips arent not apart of your bill or mandatory but, I know for a fact at IHOP all servers make a minimum 2.13 an hour (state requirement). So tipping is very much appreciated.(my sister and many friends have check stubs to prove it.) So if you don't tip...well you see. No it is mandatory, but when your food is cooked they dont have to bring it to you either. Nor fill your drinks, or even give a shit about if you are doing ok or if you'd like something else. Also there are so restuarants that don't require tipping but there food is alot higher also. Like pizza drivers here don't get paid gas for driving there car to your house. so it isn't fair to not tip them something. which is why some places have a sign that says "tipping appreciated" to make you feel guilty for not. you know who you are. some people try to be pricks and say "well they weren't any good or they didn't do enough." Since they did something for you, you should tip for them. You pay for your service. nothing is free.

as for the matter at hand, when you leave a tip they should give you another reciept with the tip added in. if not you can't prove anything.

Re: Waiters/Waitress' - Thieven a$$ bi*#@es

the proper thing to do is hand the person all of their change back and if they want to give you tip they will do so. you don't ask for tips, they're given. asking "do you want your change" is like saying "hey, can i keep your money?", i see it as rude.
