hi

i'm finally coming back the honda forum after a couple of years. reason being is that i'm buying a 4th gen hatch. i used to own a 97 civic ex but a drunk driver on the highway took care of that car for me. since then, i've been driving my 91 240sx coupe. i've been thinking alot of doing an sr20det swap, but its not really cost effective for me right now.

heres what i'm thinking of doing as far as the honda would be concerned. buy a 90-91 civic hatch (probably in the next 3-4 weeks). save a bit more $$, sell my 240sx and use that money to fund getting a b16a1 swap done, add some shocks and springs (maybe a lower cost coil-over set-up), and a rear sway bar and have some fun auto-xing. i could get this project done in about 12 weeks i'd say (given how long it takes to get the motor).

3 questions tho...
1)whats a good source for a b16a1. i've found tons of places but i'm just trying to get buying experiances from you guys.
2)i work and go to school both full time and won't have the spare time to do this swap myself. i live in the philly area. does anyone have any experiances with shops that can do the swap? good or bad, i'd like to know where to stay away from.
3)don't get offended, but i'm i an idiot for gettin a civic hatch when i have a 240sx? its not like a could never by a 240sx again. i just miss my honda.

yep the 250 bucks more they charge for the longblock is soooo worth it... It will make up if you have to get a cheap 90-91 teg tranny!
