Unhappy 1991 Explorer Air cond.

I just bought a 91 explorer, and the compressor for the air conditioner isn't getting any power to it. Is there a relay switch, inline fuse or anything that I can check to see if it needs replaced? I have already checked the fuse under the dash. Need help asap getting hot in CA. Tahnks, Tom.

This may sound like a stupid question, but I will ask anyway. Are you sure the switch is on? My son bought a 91 two years ago. Had only had it a day or so and complained that the engine was making a noise and did not sound right. Was also leaking water.(He thought) Lifted the hood amd the compressor was running. Water was condensation from compressor(AC). Looked at the switch, looked in the off position. Puzzled me for about an hour and I figured that perhaps there was a bad relay somewhere. Then I found that the switch had to be pushed in to turn on and off, and then rotated for fan speed. Had to mention that since you said you just bought it, just in case. The switch pushed in sends power to compressor. Push again and it is off. I am looking at a 91 manual, but do not see any other fuses for it. The only fuse I see is under the dash, and the large fuses in the engine compartment don't deal with A/C.
