94 1.8L mirage: how to install an aftermarket tachometer
I recently bought an after market RPM guage that i want to install into my car. there are four wires that come off of the instrument: a black wire that goes to ground, a red wire that goes to 12 volts switched, a white wire that goes to the instrument panel light, and a green wire that goes to the ignition coil. i know how to install all of the wiresd but the green wire. My car has no ignition coil that i can find. All that it has are a bunch of wires coming in and out of the distributor. all i need to know is where to hook the green wire to.
Thanks. |

you should have a little conector (female spadelike only a little longer) that comes out of your wiring harness , it should be located in the center of the fire wall in the engine bay . that should be your tach feed .
if it doesnt work let me know and ill let you know what wire you can use from the ignition (i'd have to check under my hood , dont know it by heart) |
