The window is all screwed up, and ive torn apart the inner door panel to my drivers side door so i got a replacement from a junk yard. Colors wrong, but it will fit, the big question is how the heck do you disconnect the door. Anyone have knowledge/suggestions of how to detatch the door from its mounting?

Re: 93 cavalier door replacement
Welcome to AF. Ok if you have the inside trim panels off. You need to disconnect any electrical connections and remove them from the door. You then should open the door all the way and support the door with a Jack. Then take measurement from the old door and mark the new door so you know the correct placement for it. Then remove the hinge nuts and the door will lift right off. Good Luck

Re: 93 cavalier door replacement
The issue is with getting the hinge bolts off. The two that are on the door side will not budge, perhaps im going about it wrong but hammers, locking pliers, heat, nothing works THey wont even turn, is there a secret to removing these? There are no nuts that i see, its jut a pin that goes in there some how

Re: 93 cavalier door replacement
Im going to be looking at replacing my passenger side door, and I know exactly what this guy is talking about. Basically the door is hinged on a spear-shaped rod with no visible ways to dislodge it. No nuts, no screws, no bolts. Nothing.
