Tape to Cd Player Swap
I am sorry I am not knowledgable about the Intrigue, I am posting a question for my father's car. It is a '98 and he had the tape stick in the deck this past week. I am searching for another head unit and my question is can I swap to the cassette/cd player model without any problems? Is there anything I should take note of?
Thanks in advance. Marc |

Re: Tape to Cd Player Swap
Yes, the CD/Cassette is interchangable with the Cassette deck. Just make sure that the CD/Cassette unit isn't the Bose CD/Cass. deck; i think there are compatability with those. But anyway, it's a breeze to replace too:
1. Open the center console and remove the two screws where the latch is (like near the coin holder thing). 2. Pull up on the whole trim piece that goes all the way up to the base of that center stack. 3. Then pull out the trim piece around radio and HVAC unit. 4. Remove the four screws around the radio 5. Pull the unit out and unplug the connectors in the back of the radio. 6-11. Putting it back together is just the reverse of the removal. ![]() Hope this helps!

If you'd like pics to help with the install, I found the website that helped me do my Tape to CD/Tape swap.

Thanks again. I saw that post before. The removal looks easy, I just get concerned about swapping between units.
