Hey all!
I'm having a strange problem with my power steering. I recently brough the car in for service and amongst other things, they did a power steering flush. Since then, about 3 times, the power steering has gone whacky. It is the wierdest thing. What happens is that you start the car and the power steering seems frozen. It takes all the strenght you have to turn the wheel to get out of a parking space, it seems though after maybe 15-20 secs of this, it seems to just stop and I have very smooth steering. Each time is has done this, the cars been parked and it was a cold start. Any ideas what might be causing this? I check the Power steering fluid, and its right where it should be. i thought maybe the PS belt, but it doesn't happen after the cars been running. Kinda weird. My father thinks it could be slow or ice somewhere under the car, because to get into my driveway, you have to go through a heck of a pile from the snow plows, but each time this has happened, it wasn't at home. i think every time it occured in plowed parking lots. not sure about the first time, i wasn't driving it, but I believe she was coming out of our local Rite Aid store, there they have plowed parking lots. |

Re: Power Steering... Weird one
I'm thinking that the Power steering clutch is taking awhile to get unstuck.
