Question Front axle seal install

I replaced the ball joints on my 95 S-Blazer 4x4 yesterday and also replaced the axle seals in the steering knuckle. While I was installing the ball joints my step dad replaced the axle seals. I have a feeling he might have put them in backwards. Is that possible? Anyone know where I can find some pics of the procedure? Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Front axle seal install

Do you mean the hub seals? (where the hub meets the knuckle?) As far as I know there is no seal where the splines meet the hub...

If you are talking about the hub to knuckle seal, I don't believe it would be possible to install them backward. I have replaced these several times and they will only go one way.

Re: Re: Front axle seal install

I meant the hub seal, sorry about that. My step father is a retired GM tech, and at 75 he has forgotten more about GM vehicles then I will ever learn. But it just didn't look right to me and I was just curious if it could be put in backwards. Thanks for the quick response guys.
