206 XT - auto transmission problems

I just bought a brand new 206 XT (auto) at the beginning of January, but have had to take it back three times since, because the transmission's been playing up. It's still under warranty and all, but this really SUCKS considering this isn't what's supposed to happen when you pay for a brand new car.

Gear changes were harsh and jerky, and at its worst, it would stall in between a gear change (mostly between 1 and 2). Sometimes there was no acceleration on take off. I've had to change it into tiptronic and push it up to 2nd gear before it would go anywhere.

The Peugeot service guys retuned my ECU twice, but had to resort to replacing the transmission altogether (gearbox, etc), on the third time. It's an intermittent problem and my car drives fine just after getting back, but the problem always re-occurs after a short while.

It's driving ok now, but I can feel a massive lack of power in the engine, like it's slipping in 1st gear. It just doesn't take off like it should and I can feel the problems slowly resurfacing. I'm guessing it's the ECU that needs to be replaced.

Does anyone know anything about what might be happening? And what I could possibly do about it? I'm getting really fed up with taking my car back every few weeks. Is there anything I can do in regards to the FAULTY vehicle I've ended up with?
