Partstrain.com

Now what I'm complainging about wasn't really caused by them directly but it still sucks. I bought a fender for like $58 shipping is $91. It gets here about a week later and I realize that I ordered the wrong style of fender (this one was for a ZR2 I needed a stock s10 fender). So i call them up to order and new one and send this one back. I'm told that I'm gonna have to pay $91 to ship the fender back to them and then they're gonna take 20% of the $58 as a restocking fee. Also the shipping costs of getting the fender out to me will not be refunded. While I'm thinking about this they also tell me that I can't even return the fender because it is past their five-day return period (you only get 5 days from the date of sale to return things). I'm like I just got it today how could I have possibly returned it while it was being shipped to my house. They're like thats not our problem that's UPS's problem (but wait I payed for ground shipping, so they actually got it to me sooner then they said they would). Long story short, I wouldn't reccomend buying things from these guys. They rape you on the shipping charges and then basically run away if theres a problem with your order. So even if I could send this one back and re-order the right one I'd be looking at a grand total cost of $400 for a friging jap-aftermarket fender. I don't think so. Got the right one off of eBay shipped to my house for $80. Peace-

not to be mean but you DID buy the wrong part. they had to take the time to pack and ship you that part and they had to pay someone to do it, if youre tying up a person to do something twice, id be charging you too, theyre losing money fixing your ordering mistake rather than shipping something to a new order for a customer

Yeah I understand all of that, but when I ordered my new fender (and it also just so happend to be coming from california) off of ebay how does the shipping only cost $30 ? And it also came UPS (same size box and weight also). partstrain.com overcharges on shipping so they can increase their profit. Even on top of that you can't return something unless you get it within 5 days of when you ordered it. So you could literatly order a part, get it a week later, and not be able to return it. In my opinion this is not the way to do business. Yeah lets run up our shipping charges so we can charge less for a part but still make as much money as we want. Peace-

it often depends on where it was shipped from as well, the distance sometimes matter with large items of weight, they input the source and destination by zip code and the route it takes will change the shipping price
