i got my cai from eBay and it didnt come with a mount so i put a zip tie around the first bend and loosened a bolt for the fuse box put the tail of the zip tie under the bolt and tightened it seems to work fine. if you can make sense of this it might help.

Re: AEM cold air intake

My cold air kinda rattle a lil, but no inside the engine bay. Its more towards the end of the filter in the front bumper. Nothing major, I can't really hear it over my exhaust anyways....

Re: AEM cold air intake

Common sense should tell you if the engine moves more than the intake, it's not the intake. Check the engine & trans mounts. They wear out and break. Simple way to fix - polyurethane motor mount inserts or the ghetto way(works well) - http://importnut.net/motormount.htm

i did that to my car, works alright, lots more vibration in the car. if you bog at all your whole interior goes crazy. my friends always think somethings wrong with my car.

Re: Re: AEM cold air intake

Did you check the mounts before ordering?

yea mine vibrates like hell at idle with both inserts in, i only use have the set now with much less vibration. Still cures the wheel hop.
