Re: Bench seats to bucket seats

been there done that. actually i just got done putting them in my 74 2 door custom. i jsut bought a pair of used buckets from one of my dads friends, i pulled the bench out. i sat the seats in the car and found a good position for them. then i drilled small pilot holes and screwed heavy duty lag bolts with really good bites on them into the frame. it is very important that they are in the car good and tight. if you have any other questions just ask me. oh yea and i cut some galvanized pipes into 1 inch spaces to raise it off the floor a little and i made some brackets to hold the seat up a little bit. i made them from a couple of pieces of square steel.

Novafreek basically hit it on the head. I pulled the leather bucket seats out of a 2002 CHrysler Sebring and put them in my Nova. Be sure to use the spacers to try and keep the seat level. Like he said, drill some holes, then get an adequate size slag bolt and bolt them in. I'll take some pictures of mine tomorrow to give you an idea.
