zum-zum...

This is a really cool mod, the only down side is that you can't really see it...basically, all it is....when you push the brakes, the brake lights and turn signal lights turn on at the same time.....so when you push the brakes, instead of 2 bulbs going on, you have 4....neato, eh....?

Re: Brake Light Mod

What happens when you have your turn signal ON and your foot on the break? does the guy behind you see the turn signal or just gets blinded?

Re: Brake Light Mod

When you have your foot on the brake, and you turn on the turn signals, the turn signal blinks as usual...it will be as if you didn't do nothing...normal operation...

Re: Brake Light Mod

THIS IS THE LEFT SIDE...

-----------------------------ground(black)
BULB -----------------------------taillight (brown)
------------diode-----------brakelight (blue)
l
l
l______this wire to yellow wire in
trailer harness

-----------------------------ground (black)
BULB -----------------------------taillight (brown)
---------diode-----------left turn (light blue)

THIS IS THE RIGHT SIDE...

-----------------------ground (black)
BULB ----------------------taillight (brown)
------diode-----------brake light (dark blue)
l
l
l_____wire to dark green wire in trailer
harness

---------------------- ground (black)
BULB ----------------------taillight (brown)
------diode----------right turn (dark blue)

You need a total of 6 diodes and some 20 gauge wire.... Make sure the diodes are facing the bulb, and the wires that go to the trailer harness, are connected in between the bulb and the diode in the original wire.....hope you guys understand....make sure you solder everything and heat shrink it to make sure it doesn't fall apart....look at the diagram (the best I could do)...If you follow it, yo shouldn't have any problems, and the instructions above...any questions just ask.....

Re: Brake Light Mod

Sorry, guys the sketch didn't come out that good...there are 3 wires coming out of each bulb....a ground, taillight, and a turn signal or brake wire....a additional wire has to be added between the bulb and the diode and connected to the trailer harness (to be only done on the brake wire).....si unndestand?
