won't start

1999 sable. looks like a battery problem no all it does is click.

Is this a starter problem or could it be a timming issue.

tried different battery but walmart sells only dead ones.
LOL i'm not kiding it was dead on the shelf.

any help would be apprecated.

If it's clicking it's a dead battery have you jumped it?

I agree if the car is just clicking it's not getting full voltage to starter. this is either battery not strong enough or dirty terminals or wire on started loose or dirty. A battery with a dead cell will never charge to full cap. and may also prevent jump starting. Start with a good battery and clean terminals.
