EGR location

I have a code 32 and I was thinking of replacing the EGR on my own. Where is it? Is it easy to do? Thanks in advance!

By the way, I almost forgot. It is a 95 ram 1500, 5.9, 4x4.

Re: EGR location

That might not be your problem.

In my case, I needed some gaskets replaced. The bad gaskets were causing the EGR to be unable to work properly, so that's why I got an EGR code.

Think about it.

Re: EGR location

How about at the base of the EGR valve, do you plug that as well as the tube, or should you just leave it open at the base of the valve?

I replaced my EGR on my truck. It is in the back of the motor on the passenger side. It is kind of hard to see the two bolts that hold it. But it is not really that hard to replace.

Re: EGR location

if the truck is older its a bitch to get the bolts off let alone getting your tool back there. BleedDodge i just torched the base of the egr tube and crimped it, the tube from the valve is not plugged.
