99 Tahoe Door Lock Problem

Hello all,

My son has a 99 tahoe and the electric locks work with the key fob, but the switches inside don't work. Is there a relay somewhere that works independent of the remote module?

Re: 99 Tahoe Door Lock Problem

do none of the switches work or just the drivers door switch if its just the drivers switch then its just the switch, if all of them are not working then its a relay, but that doesnt sound like the problem. the relay controles both the lock mech. from the switches and the key fob

Re: 99 Tahoe Door Lock Problem

2 door locks went bad on left side and 2 on right side in five years. The cellanoids are plastic pieces of garbage. The key fobs sometimes don't work either. I have found that if there are a lot of overhead wires (high tension lines) or electricity cables nearby or radio signals, the fobs just don't work. Thanks GM. I'm not coming back. Bad brakes, bad experience aligning vehicle, intake gasket issues, fuel pump premature failure, thermostat seals are garbage, water pump fails, loses coolant constantly.
