Best way to buff off wax? terry towels vs chamois?

someone at a car detailing place mentioned that using a synthetic chamois is the best way to remove wax, but ialways thought a chamois was for drying the car pre-wax?

I can'e even imagine how to wax off with a chamie. the best is if you can find a cloth with no fibers. Totally flat, I hate those little terry cltohs with all the little thingy's hanging off, those will scrath your car. I like the wax the whole dange car with an aolicator, and then wax off with about 4 really smoth towels lumpd together, and then come back and rub out the indifrences, and the wax lines. It ussually looks pretty nice.

Microfiber towels are the best for wax/polish removal, IMO.

Microfiber is by far the best way to remove wax or polish residue from the paint.

For non-smokers windows take a clean damp chamois and wipe it down. Then dry with a clean MF towel.

While a chamois is commonly used for drying a car pre-wax, a synthetic chamois can also be effective in removing wax residue.

Ditto Microfiber specifically for detailing.
