fuel in with oil

i have noticed that fuel seems to be in with the oil on my 94 3.2l i have also been having other problems with it. it does not want to idle well and seems to be getting to much fuel into the engine( fuel sprays out of tailpipe) any ideas on what could be causing this?

Used oil will always smell a bit of gasoline. The fluid coming out your tailpipe is most likely condensation.

Tune-up time, maybe?

Might be in need of new spark plugs, air filter, pcv filter, oil/filter change, fuel filter, etc.

No doubt about it. You would have one heck of an explosive backfire going on if you had gasoline dumping into the exhaust manifolds. I forget the exact ratio, but IIRC, for every 7 gallons of gasoline you burn, one gallon of water (in various forms) comes out your tailpipe.
G/luck

the only problems it seems to be having now is at idle it seems to shake ie the engine does not sit still it is rough and it has a slight hesistation when you go to accelerate, but then seems to be accelerating okay.

it stands to reason that the condensation would also smell like gas to right
would more condensation be present after the vehicle has sat for about two weeks? I have not been able to drive ti with this problem.

Also after it sat, when i started it back up for about two weeks my check trans light started flashing after about five minutes of running. "There is no fluid on the ground so i dont think its leaking, but i am wondering whether it may need more fluid. Can someone remind me how to check and fill it. when i check it as it sits "cold" then the level seems to be fine maybe even a little high.

Re: fuel in with oil

also is there any way to check the oil for fuel if it is drained or will it seperate and be obvious. And also just in case does anyone know of any way that fuel could get into the oil, Note the compression is good.

leaking injector.

You can send a sample of your oil off to a lab for testing too (costs about 30 bucks I think. Google for it.

As for setting. The longer it sits the less water will be in the exhaust, do to evaporation.
