HELP: What car do i chose, CRX or Civic ?

hey guys

im sorta in a bit of a crisis

the thing is that i like both the the 4g civic and 2g crx but i dont know which one i want as a first car

ok basically, the main reason why i would want one not the other is of weight

correct me if im wrong, but arnt the 88-91 crx's and civic's both 900kg ? or is that for just the hf ? because here in australia i think we only have like 2 models, an si( come with sunroof - i think) and a basic model ( i think the Si has an up-spec ZC motor )

and also how much would each car weigh when stripped ? 820kg ? ( all the figures u might (:P) give me are all with the stock engine and stock car , or id really appreciate if u could tell me how much the car would weigh when stripped but with a b16a in it ( how much does a b16a weigh by itself? )

im all into cheap mods that give u alota gain and i dont worry about the noise that stripping interior would cause

so thats why basically when i get my car, im striping everything that i can ( but i have to stay legal ) .

so what car would b lighter when fully stripped but still legal for the road, and im only going to be doing drag racing and not track, so which car best suits drag ?

one question thats been bugging me, is the engine bay size of each car the same? so jsut say if i was to put a ek b16a into either engine bay, would i come across the same problems ? if there is a difference , how much of a difference ??

well if you don't need alot of room go with the REX. I have always wanted one but could never find one for a good price.

i know a fully lightened crx with a b16 that runs the 1/4mi in 14.1

i know a sedan civic not lightened with a b16 that runs the 1/4 mi in 14.9

take that how you want.

a couple of years ago travis_118 tried taking out a bunch of stuff and then weighed the parts to see how much weight he was pulling out. i think it ended up being 40lbs anybody remember that?

weight is a funny thing. think of it this way....1 car could have 100lbs more weight simply from the driver being 100lbs heavier
