Search Before You Ask Questions!

Too many people asking the same questions over and over and over again.

Please use the search feature before posting at ALL TIMES.

Re: Search Before You Ask Questions!

This sticky is a good idea.....I just wanted to suggest changing the thread name to "READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST!!!!" and include a few more things like:

This is not a sales forum, any sales posts will be deleted.

Include vehicle info when posting ex. year, model, engine, 2wd or 4wd.

When SES light is on, if possible get the codes scanned and include them in the post.

List any recent repairs

Just a suggestion, you can delete this post after you read it.

Re: Search Before You Ask Questions!

Another very useful piece of information to post would be your mechanical skills and abilities.

I think we spend a lot of time explaining details that are unnecessary to experienced mechanics.

If you are new to mechanical work, or just getting into unexplored territory, up to and including being an experienced master mechanic, Knowing what level of detail we need to explain sure would help.

yes, but if say a master machanic has a problem, we explain it as hey part x needs changed, he says ok and goes on his way, 3 months later a noob machanic and noob to forum acualy searched b4 asken the queston, and found his part x was bad to, now someone needs to explain to him how to change it step by step, yes its great to have yet another membe with us, but if we would have done it step by step the first time he would have seen wow, these guys are awsome

Nice Blazer! Haven't posted a photo of mine yet. Nor my daughter's Blue Xtreme. Would like to know if you checked out the message I submitted - a question, really, and no, nothing like it in the forums for blazers that i can see.

thanks

Is there a possibility of maybe getting a sub-forum for the older K-series blazers since I see so many posts that are related to the newer S-10 blazers and their so different from the older models. It would make it easier to find stuff that you're interested in and more relative to your type of vehicle.
