#26 injectors
I am working on an 88 Limited XJ w/4.0 auto 4x4. My question is I have noticed that the injectors in this engine have a blue ring around the end that goes into the fuel rail, and a #26 on the injector. Are these the upgraded injectors, or should I still look into getting the # 19's from the 5.0 Mustangs? The engine runs ruff when cold and you can smell fuel in the exhaust. I suspect this is due to a faulty injector leaking. Any ideas?

Re: #26 injectors
Are there any brand name logos on the injectors? If you say you notice the smell of unburnt fuel on the exhaust, and its not running as an engine with a correct air fuel ratio should, its a good possibility somebody swapped in the larger injectors that are indeed some 26 lb ones. At least that would correlate with the rich running/smelling engine.
